Bedtime Stories for 6, 7 & 8 Year Olds
Six to eight year olds are ready for real characters with real feelings — a brave fox who is also a little bit scared, a bear who has to figure out what to do next, a friendship that has to be repaired. These stories give your child that emotional richness without ever getting dark or frightening. They run a bit longer than the preschool collection (typically twelve to twenty minutes) and use richer language, which is exactly what this age needs to fall asleep to. This is also the age where read-along really starts to help early reading confidence — the karaoke-style highlighting lets your child follow the words at exactly the narrator's pace with no pressure to keep up.
